Each year, participating middle schools choose 2 eighth graders to be recognized as scholar leaders at the New England League of Middle Schools Banquet.
Criteria for the award include:
Demonstrated Academic Achievement
Provides services to classmates and school
Is a positive role model or peers
Demonstrates integrity, honesty, self-discipline, and courage.
This year's recipients are Sophie Wells and Max Viselli. The dinner to honor both students and their families was held at the Augusta Civic Center on May 9th.
