Description:

The selected candidate for this classroom technology integrator position must be able to:
• Work with teachers to analyze and organize and integrate technology in classroom lessons and be available to mentor students and teachers the skills necessary to complete projects that include technology components, be familiar with and aid in the coordination of the MLTI program
• Help teachers overcome basic troubleshooting with computing devices, projectors, interactive boards, video conferencing equipment, etc.
• Help coordinate the student technology response teams
• Develop and coordinate professional development opportunities in the use of technology for faculty and staff and help implement the district technology curriculum for students and staff
• Participate and collaborate with RSU 2 technology team including other RSU 2 integrators
• Remain current in best-practices of education technology and integration techniques
• Assist students with individual technology needs and projects

Bus Drivers in Monmouth and Richmond [minimum 4 hrs/day]

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must hold a school bus driver’s license with proper endorsements issued by the State of
Maine.
• Must have or be able to obtain current fingerprint card issued by the Department of
Education.
• Must pass an annual physical examination. The current Department of Education form will be
filled out by driver and physician.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus. Has the ability to drive in
adverse conditions (wind, rain, snow, sleet).
• Has the ability to work with school staff, public, students and passengers.

• Experience in general transportation operations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Hold a commercial drivers license with proper endorsements. Must have a good driving record. Must be able to pass annual required physical including a pre-employment drug screen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Other duties may be assigned.
• To make daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, to insure its safe operation.
• To insure no child is left behind on a bus, the driver will check the entire length of the bus paying particular attention to the underneath of all seats after each and every run. 
• The driver will check for any damage and for belongings that may have been left behind after every run. 
• Fill out daily pre-trip sheets and time sheets.
• Report any defects immediately to supervisor.
• Abide by all State of Maine and Federal motor vehicle laws and school board policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of bus by sweeping daily and washing inside and outside as needed. Keep windows clean and free from dirt.
• Maintain control of passengers and ensure their safety.
• Be available for extra curricular trips as assigned by the Transportation Director.
• Willingly participates in any scheduled or random drug and alcohol testing.
• Drivers will attend scheduled workshops (safety, discipline, etc.).
• Drivers will report all student disciplinary matters to the Transportation Director and appropriate building principal.
• Drivers requesting time off must notify the Transportation Director in writing at least two days in advance of the request and state the reason needed. The Transportation Director will respond to the request as soon as it is determined that a driver is available or is not available.
• The primary responsibility of the driver is to the RSU in those cases where proper substitute coverage is not available.

Salary Range:

$12.45 (step1) - $18.28 (step 14) / hour
