Dear RSU Community,
I am writing to let you know that Dr. Cheri Towle has submitted her resignation as superintendent of our school district for medical reasons. Her resignation is effective April 30, 2020. The RSU2 Board of Directors accepted her resignation Thursday night. As many of you know, Cheri has been out on medical leave since last December. She and the Board agreed that it would be best for the district and our students for her to resign at this time in order to allow the Board to initiate a search for a new superintendent. Acting Superintendent Mary Paine will continue to lead RSU 2 as we provide distance learning opportunities for our students during the current crisis.
