•Must hold a school bus driver’s license with proper endorsements issued by the State of Maine.
•Must have or be able to obtain current fingerprint card issued by the Department of Education.
•Must pass an annual physical examination. The current Department of Education form will be filled out by driver and physician.
•Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
•Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus. Has the ability to drive in adverse conditions (wind, rain, snow, sleet).
•Has the ability to work with school staff, public, students and passengers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
•Experience in general transportation operations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
•Hold a commercial drivers license with proper endorsements. Must have a good driving record. Must be able to pass annual required physical including a pre-employment drug screen.
START DATE: anticipated in August 2020
SALARY (2020-2021): $16.13/hour (step 1) - $20.86/hour (step 14)
