On May 15th, JMG students Kennedy Chandler and Kristy Sullivan presented a $700 Jumpstart Our Youth grant to Kate Powers from Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine. Jumpstart Our Youth gave JMG students the opportunity to award a $1,000 grant to nonprofits who serve youth in Maine. Students learned about philanthropy, invited representatives from organizations to present to their JMG classes, and discussed and decided how to award the grant. JMG students also chose to award $300 to Richmond Area Food Pantry.
