Dear Parents and Guardians,
A warm hello from the Principal’s Office! I hope these opening days have been smooth for students and families. From what I’ve seen so far, students are adjusting nicely and things are going well across the board--with one notable exception.
I started this year wondering if morning drop-off changes might need to be made in order to ensure the safety of our students. After two weeks of watching congestion, confusion, and a few almost near-misses, I’ve concluded that we are, in fact, going to make a few adjustments.
Starting Monday, September 10th:
All parent drop-off before school is at the North Entrance.
All doors open at 7:15 a.m.
Before school, the Main Entrance is only for students who are walking or riding the bus.
On a related note, while classes start at 7:45 a.m., the official beginning of the day for students is at 7:15. Please do not drop off students before this time. Between 7:15 and 7:30 students may eat breakfast in the cafeteria. At 7:30 all classrooms open up.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and I believe that the small inconvenience of shifting traffic to the North Door will greatly reduce the safety concerns around the main entrance.
