Project Grad Update: Our first Project Grad meeting took place this past Tuesday (01/11) at 5:30pm in the MA Library.  This group discussed a variety of options for our Seniors; and a survey was sent to the Class of 2022 to get their feedback.  I met with the Senior class President and Vice-President on Friday morning and will be meeting with the Senior class officers and advisors between Tuesday & Wednesday of this coming week to review the survey results and to prepare for a Senior class meeting that will take place either Thursday or Friday of this coming week.  That class meeting will be followed by another Project Grad meeting with Senior parents currently scheduled for Tuesday (01/25) at 5:30pm in the MA Library.  Stay tuned!

For more information, see their website! Check out the rest of the scholarships here.

  • The end of the semester is fast approaching with just four school days left! Grades close on Friday, January 21, 2022, and will be reported in Infinite Campus by Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Make sure you focus on finishing up those semester-based courses so you do not receive an incomplete for any courses! Report cards will be mailed home by Friday, January 28, 2022, and then the Honor Roll will be prepared! If you would like to have access to Infinite Campus to view your grades online or look at your 2nd-semester schedule, please reach out to Mrs. Knowlton for more information!

  • Revisions to the 2022-2023 Program of Studies are underway! Stay tuned for more information about getting ready for course selection for the 2022-2023 school year! (Yes, this is a lot earlier than in previous years!)

Yearbook Update (from Dr. Ross):  Hello Senior Parents and Families! Each year the Monmouth Academy yearbook offers parents the chance to create a personal ad, otherwise known as a Personal Display of Affection (PDA), that will show up in the yearbook. You can add however many pictures and messages that will fit to congratulate or recognize your student. You have the option to design the ad yourself or to submit photos and messages to me and we will create an ad for you. All PDAs will be sent to you for approval before publication. Materials and payment are due by February 14.

You can order your PDA by emailing me (eross@kidsrsu.org); sending information and money into the school; or going online and searching for Monmouth Academy and choosing to create a personal ad (https://yearbookforever.com). You can design your own PDA or submit photos and messages for the yearbook staff to design it for you.

We offer the following sizes:

Full Page = $150 (up to 24 photos)

Half Page = $80 (up to 12 photos)

Quarter Page = $50 (up to 6 photos)

Eighth Page = $30 (up to 3 photos)

Let me know if you have any questions or would like to order a PDA today!

Civil Rights Team Update:  I’m pleased to announce that MA has two new Civil Rights Team advisors (Ms. Darrell and Mr. Shain).  Both have just completed the Civil Rights Team training that past Thursday and will be looking to put together the MA Civil Rights Team in time for the 2nd semester!  Please keep an eye out for information that will be coming out later this week. Student participation will be key for the success of this new team and our school!

Dates to Note:

01/17 = No School (Martin Luther King Day)

01/21 = Last day of the 1st Semester

01/24 = 2nd Semester begins

01/25 = Juniors field trip to CMCC

01/28 = 1st Semester Report Cards to be mailed home

That concludes this week’s edition of The MA Express!.  Take care and stay well.

Respectfully,

Mr. Ted Finn, Principal
