SUMMARYThis is technical services work in an integrated computer network environment.  This employee performs a full range of system administration functions requiring a technical computer support background. Responsibilities include installing and configuring network devices; diagnosing and resolving communications, hardware, and operating system problems; implementing, and monitoring system security procedures; advising agency management on systems development and conducting user training and product demonstrations. This employee provides support to multi-user work groups crossing functional unit lines and includes a full range of multi-user and/or network operating system administration responsibilities. Supervision may be exercised over lower-level technical personnel. Work is performed under limited supervision.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or a related field preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in hardware repair or network support including a background in Apple systems integration and OS10.6.x or greater, Windows server management, user management, networking and other classroom related hardware support
  • GSuite Administration, Apple Technical Coordinator, Apple Help Desk, Apple System Administrator or ACMT certifications preferred
  • Experience with Windows and Mac hardware, operating systems, and desktop software
  • School learning environment experience preferred with good customer service skills and ability to work well with students and adults is important
  • Maine DOE CHRC Approval Certificate required
