Our internet is currently down. We are working to fix the problem and hope to have it back soon. Please check back to Google Classroom for any missed assignments.
CATC is closed today. Students who normally attend CATC may either arrive at the start of their first regularly scheduled class, or report at their normal time (and use the morning as an academic support time).
If you are having internet issues, please try the following fix. If that does not work, please contact the RMSHS Office at 737-4348 and we will connect you with our tech office. 1. Open network preferences by clicking on the "fan" (the Wifi symbol) along the top edge of the screen. You can also get there by selecting the Apple icon in the upper left and then go to System Preferences and then Network. 2. You may need to unlock options within Network. Look for a lock in the lower left corner and click it if you can't modify settings. It will ask for your laptop's password. 3. Select advanced in the lower right corner of the Network window. 4. Along the top of the advanced window, select DNS. 5. Below DNS in the left window you should see an entry for 127.0.0.1. Select this entry and then click on the minus sign "-" below it to remove that setting. 6. Click Ok and then Apply.

With Marcia Buker being remote this week, the bus runs will look a little different. All buses will be leaving 5-10 minutes later Tuesday morning then they normally do to collect students for the Middle and High School. Without having numerous stops to make for Marcia Buker students we need to be mindful of time and not arrive too early at the Middle/High School. If you would please be patient, your driver will be there, just a little later. In the afternoon your student will arrive home earlier than they do on a normal hybrid day. -Katie Spear, Transportation Director

The RSU2 Board of Directors is pleased to announce Tonya Arnold as our new superintendent, effective August 1st. Tonya recently finished a superintendent position with the Vinalhaven School District. Tonya brings to RSU2 over 20 years of teaching, administrative and superintendent knowledge, as well as experience in the corporate world and as a business owner. At the Maine Academy of Natural Sciences, Tonya led a proficiency and project-based school, and brings that leadership to support RSU2’s current staff of dedicated teachers and curriculum leaders. Tonya resides in Richmond with her husband, Steve. They have two adult children with families of their own. Over the next several weeks, Tonya will meet with Acting Superintendent Paine, RSU2 staff, students and families to get to know us all and learn more about what makes RSU2 great. Please join us in welcoming Tonya to our community. Sincerely, Jonathan Hamann Chair, RSU2 Board of Directors

Due to the strong possibility of severe thunderstorms (including possible hail and heavy wind) for tomorrow (Saturday, June 6th) we are postponing our graduation ceremony. The ceremony will now take place at 4pm on Sunday. All times will be the same as they were originally planned.
The live stream of the RHS Graduation scheduled for 4pm June 6th will be viewable online at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd6CyrBnRso0rtBHbmC_RQg In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be June 7th (@4pm).
Changes to Planned Graduation Parade: As of May 31st, we are all grateful to still be preparing for a graduation ceremony this coming weekend (admission by invite only), but we have had to make some changes to the planned parade after. On Friday, May 29th, the Maine DOE (with input from the Departments of Public Safety and Health and Human Services) issued new guidance to schools strongly advising schools against holding graduation parades due to the fear that crowds will gather. In order to follow these guidelines, we are canceling our proposed graduation parade, and instead holding a “reverse parade” for our graduates. After graduation, our graduates will line up on Main Street. Passersby may cheer, honk, and celebrate our graduates (while driving with caution). Richmond PD will assist in making this an orderly and safe event. Please do not arrive or approach on foot- the purpose of changing the event is to avoid crowds gathering and to maintain social distancing, but also to still give you a chance to cheer for our graduates. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, Karl Matulis Principal, Richmond Middle and High School
