HDES has recently been designated in outbreak status by the DOE.  The status is based on 3 positive cases being present at school within 14 days.  After a conversation today with the School Outbreak Investigator,  there is no need at this moment to change our schedule or approach at  based on the fact that these particular positives were deemed to be from outside of school exposure.

This underscores the need for families to keep their child home if they have symptoms, and follow the quarantine requirement, in order to prevent full school closure or longer term remote learning for part of all of the school in the future.

Thank you to all who have been working so hard to follow the safety protocols.  Your support and care for others is much appreciated.
