Hi HDES families,
Here are some updates and reminders:
The book fair was back in person and was a huge success! Many families visited it and students were very excited.
2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders received books from Invest in ME reads. Invest in ME Reads is a family financial education program from FAME that provides free books and resources to elementary students and their families, along with an educational website, InvestinMeReads.com.
This week we focused on bus safety and introduced the Golden Bus Ticket rewards! This is a way to reinforce safe, expected bus behaviors. Once a bus earns 20 Golden Tickets students on that bus get a special celebration with me. We are asking for your help to reinforce the expected behaviors to keep everyone safe. See the flier on the 2nd page of this newsletter. Also, a reminder that the school policy says - “Children who become a serious disciplinary problem on the school bus may have their riding privileges suspended by the Principal. In such cases, the parents of the children involved become responsible for seeing that their children get to and from school safely” By working together we can help students have safe bus rides.
