Hi HDES families,
We are working with Johnson Hall to bring a performance to HDES during the morning of January 13th, which is an early release day. When I know more information I will let you know! We are also working with the PTO to bring other enrichment activities to our students!
We are working hard and learning a lot about creating report cards in IC. IC continues to work behind the scenes to make adjustments to help us report out to families. We are hoping to get report cards out in the next few weeks. Thank you for your patience and understanding with the roll out of this and please ask any questions once report cards do go out. We are looking to send a letter out with the report cards explaining more about the 1-4 scoring on grade level standards. One thing to be aware of, the standards students are being scored on are end of year expectations. That means that as students get more experience and exposure to different concepts, they will continue to develop in their understanding and proficiency of that standard. A 1 does not mean failing, it means a student is just developing their understanding of that concept.
