Happy Friday HDES families!
I wanted to update you all on a decision finalized at the school board meeting last night. After hearing from many stakeholders, analyzing spaces, and other needs, Superintendent Amero recommended to the board that 5th graders return to HDES next year. The school board voted in support of this recommendation.
This means that three 5th grade teachers as well as special education staff will be returning to HDES. There is going to be an adjustment period with these changes so we ask to please be patient with us next year, especially around dismissal and arrival. We will have more parents in the pick up line and more students on the buses. It will take some time, but just like this year, we will figure out a way to make it as smooth as possible for everyone.
