SUMMARY:

The social worker will be responsible for providing designated support services to students with disabilities who have this service identified in their Individual Education Plan (IEP). The social worker will also provide services to students who are referred who are not receiving special education services. This position will also work with school personnel and designated agencies to help referred students resolve personnel, emotional, and social problems that significantly interfere with their educational performance/achievement.

Experience with school-based counseling; Experience supporting students with social skills training and developing pragmatic skills; Participate as member of IEP teams, goal writing, and consultation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must hold valid State of Maine Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Experience in evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents, and with individual therapy strongly recommended.

Experience in public schools and with clinical supervision desired.

START DATE: 8/2024

SALARY:  Based on teacher position experience and in accordance with the 2024-2025 wage scale in the teacher bargaining agreement: $42,597.33 [BA, step 1] - $78,130.69 [MA+15, step 22+], prorated from start date.
