KIDS RSU #2 has an opening for an aspiring and dedicated Special Education teacher at Hall-Dale Middle and High School. The suitable candidate will join an experienced and committed group of teaching partners. State of Maine certification #282 is required.

SUMMARY: Instructs students in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Maine teaching certificate with 282 endorsement

START DATE: August 2024

SALARY:  Based on teacher position experience and in accordance with the 2024-2025 wage scale in the teacher bargaining agreement: $42,597.33 [BA, step 1] - $78,130.69 [MA+15, step 23], prorated from start date. The complete contract year is 182 days.
