Hi all. We have the opportunity to earn some money but we need volunteers. The boosters have offered us to work the snack shack for the Girl's Soccer game this Friday, Oct. 25 starting at 3:00 pm. We will split the earnings with the sports booster. We need 2 people to b in the shack at all times. If you can help out for an hour please let me know. We would need 2 people from 2:45-3:45, 2 people from 3:45-4:45. I will be there to help set up and clean up. Please email me at hmckay@kidsrsu.org or send me a private message. We also have the possibility to work other games next week as well.

Dear Hall-Dale Community: I am looking for a host family in the Hall-Dale district for Beka, an exchange student who is attending Hall-Dale this year. He is currently living with a temporary “welcome” family in Richmond. Could anyone open their home to Beka as his host family? Or do you have friends or neighbors who could? Hosting is a wonderful opportunity to share American culture and values with a teenager from another country, while also having an opportunity to learn about another culture and another part of the world. Host families do not have to have high-school aged kids (or any kids). Beka is 17 years old, and comes from the country Georgia. He loves sports and is currently playing soccer at Hall-Dale. He wants to play basketball this winter, and he also enjoys swimming and training at the gym. In his free time, Beka enjoys listening to music (Led Zepplin and Bon Jovi are some of his favorite bands) and he enjoys watching shows like Game of Thrones and Prison Break. Beka is looking forward to celebrating American holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving with his host family, and would also like to teach you about his country and culture. He likes younger kids, and he has no allergies. Volunteer host families provide their student with a bed, three meals a day, local transportation, and a warm welcome as part of the family. Exchange students can share a bedroom with a same sex host sibling within 4 years of their age. Exchange students have their own spending money and have illness and accident insurance provided by their sponsoring organization (in this case, Greenheart Exchange). To learn more, please contact: Liana Knight, greenheart.liana@gmail.com or 207-737-9781. Many thanks!

Sr. Capstone Presentations are tomorrow! In years past we've asked senior parents for donations of bottled water and snacks for the "senior lounge" where students congregate when not presenting, which have been greatly appreciated, as well as providing water for parents waiting for presentations in the library. If you would be willing to bring something, here is a link to a google doc where you can sign up: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CkBqaH1ymWAZZ9f1OhiP3yl9vo0eg0lc7-ZHZhqNJyE/edit?usp=sharing
