Position Description:

We are seeking a dynamic educator to teach an exciting variety of computer science, business, and digital communication courses to students in grades 9-12.  Potential courses will serve as pathways to enable our students to understand, communicate, and adapt to a digital world as it impacts their personal life, society, and the business world.  This position can be combined between Hall-Dale High School and Monmouth Academy or with an open half-time position at MA (English, math, or MTSS Coordinator/electives teacher) as a full-time position.

Potential Subjects Taught (to be adjusted to candidate’s experience, knowledge, and certification):                                                   

        Introduction to Computer Science

        AP Computer Science Principles

        Introduction to Coding

        Introduction to Computer Programming

        Introduction to Game Design/Evolution of Games

        Introduction to Web Design

        Digital Communications (may include video production)

        Accounting

        Entrepreneurship

        Introduction to Business

        Marketing

 Key Responsibilities:

        Facilitates/coordinates rigorous curriculum with career-related instruction

        Assesses and provides differentiation to assure student progress

        Integrates core content academics and embeds high-quality project-based learning assignments

        Manages and maintains program’s assigned equipment, software, and supplies

        Administers developmental testing programs, subject-specific formative/summative and industry-recognized technical skill assessments to evaluate students’ industry certification competency levels attainment and/or the monitoring and development of individual learning growth and student progress

Qualifications:

        Bachelor’s Degree with course emphasis in area to be taught

        Must hold (or be eligible to hold) the required certification - Computer Technology Teacher (680) or Business Education (640)

        Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification

        A passion for working with high school students and supporting their goals

Start Date: 2025-2026 School Year

Salary:  Based on teacher position experience and in accordance with the wage scale in the  2024-25 Teachers Collective Bargaining Agreement: (Step 1) BA 42,597.33- (Step  23 MA+15) 78,130.69.  The complete contract year is 182 days. (Note: 2025-28 CBA is currently being negotiated)
